Prior to our recent purchase of our Trident console we used to strictly use external mic preamps, bypassing the soundboard, going straight to track, using RADAR converters in Steingerg Nuendo. But now we have a truly great Trident console that we have strong confidence in that adds a nice, full, round, yet crystal clear tone to the signal. We still utilize our great collection of pristine external mic preamps. We have 22 high-end mic pre channels that we can use all at once during the recording process, 4 channels of API, 16 channels of Millenia HV-3Ds, a Universal Audio 6176 Tube pre and compressor, and an M-Audio Tampa pre and compressor.
